Language Policy

YALIW accepts scholarly submissions in any African or Caribbean language. We also accept English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Each submission must include an abstract in English, French, or Spanish for indexing and discoverability.

This policy honours the intellectual traditions of African and Caribbean knowledge systems while ensuring your work is findable by global search engines and academic databases.

For authors: Submit in the language of your scholarship. Provide one translation of your abstract. YALIW handles the rest.
